Augentagesklinik Sursee   Advice and treatment in a relaxed athmosphere

Before the operation

Before any treatment we will determine through careful consultation and examination by one of our specialists whether refractive surgery is possible for you and which type is appropriate. You should allow sufficient time for this appointment, since your eyes will be examined in great detail with several diagnostic instruments.

During these examinations, among other things, a detailed surface map of your cornea will be produced, therefore as a general rule you should not wear soft contact lenses for 2 weeks or hard contact lenses for 3 weeks before this appointment. In order that our ophthalmologist can also examine your retina it may be necessary to dilate your pupils. You should therefore not drive a car directly after the examination.

For this reason we recommend that you bring someone with you. Following these examinations our ophthalmologist will discuss the results with you in detail and suggest what he considers appropriate in your particular case. It is then up to you to decide whether to proceed and which operative correction you wish.
