Costs

As a general rule it can be said that the refractive surgery procedure is not part of the scope of the basic insurance benefits of the health insurance funds and they are not obliged to pay the costs.

Health insurance funds pay in principle for preliminary examinations as these are carried out by registered, approved doctors.

For the operation it is also at the discretion of the individual, private health insurance funds, as to whether they will contribute to the cost or even reimburse it.

During the consultation we will be delighted to provide you with a list of the estimated costs of your planned procedure.

The operation itself costs between approx. Sfr. 2,500 and Sfr. 4,400 per eye (excl. VAT) depending on the procedure.

The costs of the follow-up examinations for half a year are included
